Sorry folks! I’ve decided for convenience, ease, and higher popularity, I’m moving my art blog to Tumblr.
It’s still under construction, but do follow in the meanwhile for updates: http://skylarsundayart.tumblr.com/

Unfinished though! ): Very sad, I know. Ah… oh well. Same deal, charcoal and a little bit of conte crayon. *pretends to seem classy saying that*
Might do the 30 Day drawing challenge, and with luck I’ll actually complete it. If only I had my proper supplies with me at the moment, ’cause I’d rather do doodles on the tablet and I can’t say I can really use any pencils or anything over here so…
Oh right I didn’t mention. Currently I’m at my parent’s place, not at my apartment. It’s Thanksgiving weekend, so there shouldn’t be much of a surprise.
There’s more art-related things I have, but haven’t had the time to really post I suppose. Hell, I still haven’t finished something I was supposed to give Erica Reidy and Kevin Lordi from like… what, August? I sincerely apologize about that. T_T
In case you guys wanted to know what the unfinished product was gonna look like:
I feel really bad about that though… anyway, yeah I have their blogs linked on my sidebar in case you’re interested in their stuff, they’re both very talented!
That being said, I suppose I’ll end this post right here… with hopes that I’ll finish SOMETHING other than schoolwork in the near future.

self-explanatory… half-awake and feel as though I should update with some things I’ve been doing… only fair! … Don’t ask about the top hat one lmao. Been using a lot of charcoal as you can see for my drawing classes… … Continue reading
And so, I have officially moved into my apartment. It’s kinda weird living by myself now… luckily I already have some friends I know but nonetheless not having the animals here makes me sad. ): But at least there’s the weekend trips home. Some pics of the apartment:

My lovely friend Stephanie drew me this picture of Saturnina and Scratch, that I added to my wall of inspiration and development...

Some tutorials I have hung up, one in particular being one by elixirXsczjX13 on deviantart. Very helpful tutorial!
Time for some pics:
People have been asking me how I managed to achieve this hair color, so I’ll let you in on the method I used, though I have a feeling it won’t work as well the second time.
Since I couldn’t get the lilac/lavender hair dye I was looking for (And my Special Effects was backordered), I had to get Manic Panic. So I bought one jar of Purple Haze and one jar of Virgin Snow. I used half the jar of Purple Haze and the full jar of Virgin Snow and mixed them together. This provided a last minute lavender/lilac effect. Unfortunately it ends up fading into different shades, but this tends to happen to me I suppose… may vary for others.
Make-up tips for my fellow ladies:
Hey guys updating from college as we speak! I’ll fill you in with the details soon enough! Just letting you know that i didn’t abandon this blog.

Since I have the “Cogs and Oil” page up, I thought I’d give a bit of some thoughts and ideas I’ve had and some things I’ve been doing. Just in case you’re curious. So here’s some of the things that inspire me:

The absurdity behind Victorian mentality.

Although I can take creative liberty with the design, I often look to the Battle of Gettysburg for inspiration, although it's more Colonial if anything.

Many illustrations of machines and mechanisms from the Industrial Revolution I often looked to to get a bit of a base on some of the mechanics, even if they would be used for machines that in real life are physically impossible. Still, it helps one build the concepts better.

Ah... look how environmentally friendly the Industrial Revolution was!

Of course I would look at steam engines.

Old towns and cities I looked at to try and build an idea of what Escherton would be like. I wanted the city to be very Victorian based with the steampunk elements being incorporated in transportation, accessories, other things.

Bethlem Royal Hospital would no doubt be a large inspiration to the Bremmingway Insane Asylum that Saturnina is locked up in. Bremmingway's cruelty towards its patients is actually inspired by a lot of horrors from actual, real life asylums, such as this infamous one. For example, a patient whom was strapped down was neglected for so long that their skin began to grow over the straps binding them down. Disturbing!

No doubt would I look up old guns and muskets. Samuel not only enjoys guns in the military, but also for hunting, target practice... and general fun.
I shall post more later, but I’ll just leave you guys with those lovely little things I look towards for inspiration. I would love to see what inspires others. <3 Feel free to comment below!

Originally, I was going to make another Tumblr account, of course I then realized how complicated that would be linking the two every and all. And generally I couldn’t connect both with Facebook so… *shrug* Eh, I like the format of WordPress better, so sue me. You should be able to still comment without a WordPress account as well so… don’t complain lol.
Necessary art dump:

Old project from the beginning of the year, but couldn't submit it on DA... what the hell do you even categorize it as!?
And last, but not least, a little sneak preview of one of the “darker” promo pictures for C+O….
Samuel’s poster comes up after this is done… that should be fun.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more.
